2026 Seasonal Flu Vaccine Composition
Each year, the composition of the influenza vaccine is reviewed and updated based on several factors, including the most recent influenza strains circulating in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.
For 2026, the influenza vaccine is a trivalent vaccine and includes protection against the following strains
Egg-based influenza vaccines:
- A/Missouri/11/2025 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
- A/Singapore/GP20238/2024 (H3N2)-like virus
- B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus

Getting Flu Vaccine with us - Flexible Options to Suit Your Team
- On-Site Vaccinations:
Our experienced nurses visit your workplace, allowing staff to be vaccinated conveniently without needing time off.
- In-Clinic Vaccinations:
Staff can use flu vouchers to attend our medical centre at a time that suits them. No appointment is required — making the process quick, simple, and stress-free.
- Hybrid Option:
A combination of on-site workplace vaccinations and flu vouchers, providing maximum flexibility for your team.
On-Site Vaccinations – How It Works
1. Complete our online request form.
2. We will contact you to organise the on-site appointment.
3. Staff registration:
- Staff who are not currently patients of our practice will need to register with our centre.
- Registration can be completed online via our website : New Patient Registration
- If a staff member forgets to register in advance, registration can also be completed on the day of the visit.
- Registration is required by law, as all influenza vaccinations must be reported to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
4. Consent form:
- On the day of the visit, staff will need to complete the 2026 Influenza Vaccine – Patient Consent Form
5. Vaccination day:
- On the scheduled appointment date, our friendly clinical team will attend your nominated location to administer the vaccinations.
6. Absent staff:
- For staff who are unable to attend, flu vouchers are available for purchase.
In-Clinic Vaccinations – How It Works
1. Complete our online request form.
2. We will contact you to arrange the purchase of flu vouchers.
3. Once received, you may distribute the vouchers to your staff.
4. Staff registration:
- Staff who are not currently patients of our practice will need to register with our centre.
- Registration can be completed online via our website : New Patient Registration
5. On-the-day registration:
- If a staff member forgets to register in advance, registration can be completed on the day of their visit.
- Registration is required by law, as all influenza vaccinations must be reported to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
6. Consent form:
- On the day the staff member wishes to receive the vaccine, they must complete the 2026 Seasonal Influenza – Patient Consent Form.
- This form will be provided with the flu voucher.
7. Doctor appointment requirement:
- If a staff member answers YES to questions 3–10 on the consent form, they must book an appointment with one of our doctors.
- They must bring their flu voucher and Medicare card to the appointment.
8. Walk-in vaccinations:
- If no doctor appointment is required, staff may attend the medical centre Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) for their flu vaccination.
- No appointment is required.
- Staff must present their flu voucher, completed consent form, and photo ID or Medicare card.
